Major Love includes singer-songwriter Colleen Brown and her frequent collaborators, Scenic Route to Alaska, a sophisticated pop-rock trio. Brown has an irresistible onstage persona, and her catchy vocals are suffused with giddy warmth. This is particularly appealing indie-rock: a mix of emotional vulnerability and light-hearted playfulness that’s whipped into a froth of what the Edmonton Journal calls “guitar-driven dream pop.”
