Yoho National Park in Winter

Yoho National Park is just 40 minutes drive east of Golden BC and offers an abundance of cross country skiing and snowshoeing in stunning locations.
Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park offers groomed beginner and intermediate trails across and around the lake surrounded by amazing vistas of the Rocky Mountains.

If you're looking for a workout take the 11km road to Lake O’Hara. The effort will be good for body and soul as you reach one of the most famous lakes in the Canadian Rockies.

Yoho’s beautiful winter trails are generously groomed and maintained by the Kicking Horse Ski Club and Emerald Sports. The best skiing and snowshoeing are from late-December through early April. The park is a natural area and travel is at your own risk. Parks Canada does not maintain or patrol winter trails in Yoho.
